Oregon voters passed Measure 110 on Wednesday, an initiative which decriminalizes the possession of small amounts of hard drugs, such as heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. In doing so, Oregon has become the first state in the nation to take a progressive stance against drug policies that have long penalized drug users instead of providing them with the care they need.
