Not soon enough for their tastes Funnily enough once the calamity was right on their doorstep they panicked I suppose it made it all real for them in that moment They began pouring every last ounce of their beings into various projects But a lack of water and viable landmass triggered mass conflict which diverted significant resources from projects to deal with the main issue And even if their resources weren't split by that point the number of resources it would have taken to stop it let alone slow it down Far exceeded their capacity So what did the collapse look like? Not soon enough for their tastes Funnily enough once the calamity was right on their doorstep they panicked I suppose it made it all real for them in that moment They began pouring every last ounce of their beings into various projects But a lack of water and viable landmass triggered mass conflict which diverted significant resources from projects to deal with the main issue And even if their resources weren't split by that point the number of resources it would have taken to stop it let alone slow it down Far exceeded their capacity So what did the collapse look like? Finger pointing mostly I mean the finger pointing existed from the very beginning it's just the actions they were willing to take initially was limited to simply blaming others and focusing on the numbers Towards the end as the habitable zones truly started travelling further north the fingers started pointing northwards too Eventually it exploded into conflict Desperation to claim habitable landmass veiled in an excuse Revenge for the cause of the situation The calamity culled their numbers while the conflicts culled their numbers greatly and gave them a distraction In the end they were few Picked off by diseases storms and occasionally a sharp implement The loss of so many severely impacted their ability to retain and advance their knowledge until they were rediscovering things they already figured out a century or more in the past In the end they lost it all Were the numbers at least good? Eh it had it's ups 'n downs This was an amazing read Android Button panel steals the touch - I can't edit the post unless I back out Mememore...
