Commonly used for various content concerning time. May also be used for hourglass-shaped figures. Not to be confused with ⌛ Hourglass Done, whose sand has stopped flowing.

Hourglass Not Done was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 under the name “Hourglass with Flowing Sand” and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
